We got a lucky start in 1985, with some impressive clients for a little start up: Midas, Johnson Wax and Budget Rent a Car. Since then, we have worked for some of the best known multinational corporations, fast growth entrepreneurial innovators, and non-profits with plenty of heart. We know our way around a data warehouse and are adept at using the latest Web analytics to bring you as much insight in the digital world as we do in the real world. Bonnie Massa is Founder and President of Chicago-based Massa & Company, Inc. She works with companies and nonprofit organizations to make the best use of their information about customers, partners, donors, and sponsors. She works with organizations to attract new customers, find the best ways to segment and reach out to existing customers, analyze customer behavior to predict future behavior, and increase the value of their customer base.
Bonnie has been in the database and analytic marketing arena since 1985. She has designed, built and managed databases or helped pick out the right database solution and provided customer–centric analysis for noteworthy clients such as Budget Rent a Car, Midas International, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Johnson Wax and La-Z-Boy Furniture.
Bonnie is known for being a good listener and for working hands-on with her clients. Her ability to establish rapport, both one-on-one and with large groups, has its roots in her passion for the theatre. Bonnie founded and operated a nonprofit performing arts company in her hometown of Cookeville, Tennessee and taught public speaking to barely tolerant freshman at Tennessee Technological University. She speaks fluent “geek” and is an effective translator between business executives and technology experts
Bonnie has a BA degree from Lambuth University in Jackson, TN. She is a Market Motive Certified Practitioner in Web Analytics, Conversion Optimization and Social Media. She has achieved a Google Analytics Individual Qualification. Bonnie also volunteers her time as President of American Marketing Association Chicago.
Al joined Massa & Company in 2003 as our Senior Software Development Engineer and Systems Analyst. He leads our teams in database design, software design and implementation, and systems integration. He manages and executes the entire software development life cycle for new and existing software systems. He develops conversion and system implementation plans and recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
Al came to Massa from Lucent Technologies where he served for 23 years in Project Management, Quality Management, International Software Configuration, Market Systems Engineering, Customer Support and Software Development.
Al’s programming experience includes C, C++, Perl, Unix/Shell, HTML, INGRES, Visual Basic, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Dbase, FoxPro, Fortran, PL/1, JAVA and various assembly languages.
His broad range of experiences include:
-Project manager for a $25 million project applying matrix management methods
-Managed a telecommunications network support organization for North American customers
-Managed and implemented a total quality management system for large scale organization
-Trained in product and process quality metrics
-Software Development for switching systems and supporting software
-Database design and development for project analysis and human resources
Al holds a Masters in Engineering Management from National Technological University Boulder and a BS in Computer Engineering from University of Illinois Chicago. He is also a contributing author to the Federal Communications Commission Network Reliability Report to the nation and holds a patent in telecommunications.
He is a technical advisor to Save the Patient, enjoys DIY projects, aquariums, and is seemingly always in the middle of an annual swing change for golf.
Kyle is a Web Analyst and Conversion Optimization Specialist. Before joining Massa as the Web Analytics Guru, Kyle was an engineer at Motorola, where he designed mobile device hardware for fifteen years.
Kyle uses web data to help businesses grow their traffic and increase conversions. He applies the power of Google Analytics to diagnose current marketing effectiveness and to suggest ongoing improvements. His experience in both engineering and marketing enables him to weave together big-picture and small-detail insights from complex data. Kyle geeks out over your website data so you don’t have to.
Kyle has uncovered digital marketing analytics insights for clients such as Grant Thornton, Entertainment Cruises and Content Marketing Institute.
Kyle has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and a MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a ConversionXL Certified Practitioner in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Conversion Optimization. Kyle has also obtained his Google Analytics Individual Qualification.
In his spare time Kyle is an On-air DJ for CHIRPRadio.org (107.1FM) in Chicago. He loves Improv and has completed the Second City and Annoyance Theater Improvisation Training Programs. Kyle is also a mentor at the 2112 Creative Technology Incubator and is a supporter of B-corporations.
